FAQDo I need a physician's referral? Answer: In North Carolina it is both yes and no. With certain insurances, such as Blue Cross Blue Shield, a referral is not required. However, some insurance companies require a referral before services will be authorized. Our office will evaluate, determine need and always work with you to get your referral. When my doctor recommends physical therapy do I have a choice? Answer: Yes. As a patient you have the right to request the physical therapy clinic of your choice. Will my insurance cover physical therapy services? Answer: Perfect Balance Physical Therapy is a preferred provider for the following insurance plans: Blue Cross/Blue Shield, workers Compensation, Medicare/Medicaid, Humana, United, Medcost, America's First Choice, and many others. Prior to your first visit to Perfect Balance Physical Therapy, you can call your insurance carrier to verify your benefits. Your insurance will inform you of the benefits and co-pays associated with your plan. Every member has a different arrangement with their insurance company….know yours. How do I schedule an appointment? Answer: Call us at 966-9036 and we can arrange a time for your visit or come by our office at 245 Rosman Highway, Brevard, NC or 711 Biltmore Ave., Asheville, NC What if I need to cancel or reschedule? Answer: An appointment means that we have reserved a time especially for you. Please call as soon as you realize you won't make the scheduled appointment. We need to cancel or reschedule your appointment at least 24 hours prior to your appointment. Failure to cancel your appointment will result in a $35.00 charge. What should I bring to my first visit? Answer: You should bring your insurance card and picture ID/drivers license. In addition, any MRI or X-ray reports, you are required to provide a list of your medications and drug allergies. If you have a co-pay to be prepared for that. What should I wear to my physical therapy appointments? Answer: Comfortable clothing that will allow you to move. If the impairment is in the upper body we can provide a gown, shorts are recommended for lower body to allow access to the area needing treatment. You are welcome to bring a change of clothing.
