“Exercise makes you live longer” says Dr. David Brown in The Washington Post. But how much exercise is needed?
Well, a study done in Australia showed people 45 and older who simply stood more than two hours a day died at a significantly lower rate than those who stood less. Though exercise has many benefits (healthy arteries, lower blood pressure, etc.), they are lost if you don’t keep moving.
Taking a walk each day can extend your life and offer many other health benefits. Start small- whether your physical condition allows you to hike strenuous trails or simply walking to the mailbox and back, motivate yourself to move a little extra.
